Physiotherapy in  Cromer
Body Form Physiotherapy & Clinical Pilates

Restore Function • Relieve Pain • Move With Confidence

At Body Form Physiotherapy in Mona Vale and Cromer, we believe Physiotherapy should do more than ease symptoms it should find and fix the root cause so you can live pain-free, move freely, and feel stronger than ever.

We go beyond “massage on a table.” Our physio-led, functional approach combines expert diagnosis, hands-on treatment, and specialised rehabilitation using Pilates equipment helping you recover faster, prevent recurrence, and get back to doing what you love.

The Body Form Physiotherapy Difference

  • Physio-led and evidence-based – every session is tailored to your exact needs.

  • State-of-the-art studio – incorporating reformers, trapeze tables, wunda chairs, and more into your rehab.

  • Whole-body approach – targeting strength, balance, posture, and functional movement patterns.

  • All ages & stages – from kids and teens with growth-related issues, through elite athletes, to seniors managing osteoporosis.

  • Specialist care for women’s health – founder Kira-Leigh Rule is trained in pre- and postnatal physiotherapy, supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum recovery, menopause, and beyond.

From Physio to Personalised Pilates: Your Complete Rehab Pathway

Unlike many clinics where you get a massage, a printout of exercises, and are left to “do them at home” (but rarely do), we take a different approach:

After your Initial Physiotherapy Consultation, we can progress you straight into a personalised Clinical Pilates program designed specifically for your injury, goals, and body.

This ensures:

  • You actually do the exercises under professional guidance.

  • Your program is progressively adapted as you get stronger.

  • You fix the root cause, not just mask the symptoms.

  • You reduce the risk of re-injury with targeted strength and mobility work.

  • This is rehab with accountability, structure, and real results not just endless appointments without progress.

Physiotherapy FAQ – Mona Vale, Cromer & Northern Beaches

Do I need a referral to see a physiotherapist?

No. You can book directly without a referral. If you have a Medicare plan or WorkCover/CTP claim, a GP referral may be required for rebates.

What’s the difference between physiotherapy and chiropractic care?

Physiotherapy focuses on assessing movement, diagnosing injury, and using exercise-based rehab alongside manual therapy. Chiropractic often focuses on spinal adjustments. At Body Form, we take a whole-body, functional approach.

How many physio sessions will I need?

It depends on your condition, goals, and activity level. Some people feel improvement in 1–2 sessions; others with long-term injuries may benefit from a structured 6–12 week program.

Do you accept my private health fund?

Yes – we accept all major Australian private health funds. Claims can be processed on the spot.

Can physiotherapy help with pregnancy pain or postpartum recovery?

Absolutely. Our founder is a trained women’s health physiotherapist, experienced in managing pelvic girdle pain, abdominal separation, and postpartum strengthening.

What’s included in an Initial Consultation?

A thorough 45 minute assessment, diagnosis, and personalised plan. You’ll leave knowing what’s going on, how to manage it, and what the next steps are.

What’s a Follow-Up Physio Session?

These 30 minute sessions are for ongoing treatment, exercise progression, and re-assessment after your initial consult.

Do you offer free advice before booking?

Yes you can schedule a Free 10-Minute Phone Call with one of our physiotherapists to discuss your concerns and see if we’re the right fit.
